Happy 4th of July!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy 4th of July Reader!

I hope this email finds you well and that you have a long, relaxing weekend planned. Did you get Friday off of work as well? Either way, I hope you have a safe and fun weekend with friends and family.

Fourth of July fun facts:

  1. The American flag should only be flown from sunrise to sunset, unless it is illuminated at night.
  2. The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery.
  3. The population of the U.S. was about 2.5 million in 1776.
  4. About $600 million dollars worth of fireworks are imported to the U.S. each year.
  5. Americans spend close to $10 billion on 4th of July food.
  6. The Star Spangled Banner became the national anthem in 1931.
  7. The oldest continuously running 4th of July parade is in Bristol, Rhode Island. It dates all the way back to 1785!
  8. Americans consume about 150 million hot dogs per year.
  9. There have been 27 different official versions of the flag. The last edition was Hawaii's star after it was added in 1959.
  10. Independence Day should have been celebrated on July 2, 1776. Although the document was dated July 4, congress actually voted for independence from Great Britain two days prior, on July 2, 1776. It apparently wasn’t signed by everyone until a month later on August 2, 1776.

Girl's Night Halloween 2024

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Happy Halloween Reader! What are your plans for Halloween this year? We don't have many plans this year, but we'll be trick or treating with little ones this year, so it should be extra fun. My son will be participating in his last trick or treat Halloween. He'll be 16 in December, so it's time to call it quits. He was super excited to hear he'll be home passing out candy next year! NOT! But, with the help of my very talented daughter, we'll be having a super cool party next...

Hi Reader! So, what the heck happened to March? It's one of the longer months, but it went by so fast, I didn't even get an email out! It's just not fair to have Easter in March! Am I right? Oh well, I'm not going to beat myself up for it. This month, I'm going to practice giving myself some grace. And you should too! In the words of the famous Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look. around once in a while, you could miss it.” What I've been up to: March was a...
